Staten Island, NY — O.D. Anosike had his jersey retired by St. Peter’s High School in a ceremony honoring one of the most accomplished players in program history.

Anosike emerged as a dominant force during his time at St. Peter’s. His presence helped elevate the Staten Island program within New York City’s competitive Catholic High School Athletic Association and positioned him as one of the city’s top players of his era.

He also competed in the Big Apple Basketball Challenge, representing St. Peter’s on one of the city’s premier stages. During the 2008 showcase at St. John’s University, Anosike delivered a 24-point, 20-rebound performance against Wings Academy, earning Sportsmanship honors.

Anosike went on to star at Siena College. He led the NCAA in rebounding twice, averaging 12.2 rebounds per game in 2011–12 and 12.5 rebounds per game in 2012–13. A three-time All-MAAC First Team selection, Anosike was named MAAC Player of the Year in 2013 and graduated as Siena’s all-time leading rebounder with more than 1,000 career rebounds.

Since 2013, Anosike has played professional basketball internationally.
