Nominate A Local Youth Coach

The Jr. Knicks Coach of The Year program, presented by Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), celebrates coaches who embody the values that make a positive impact on young basketball players, both on the court and in the community.

New York, NY - The Jr. Knicks Coach of The Year program, presented by Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), celebrates coaches who embody the values that make a positive impact on young basketball players, both on the court and in the community.

This year, the Knicks and HSS will choose 15 semi-finalists, and three finalists from that group. The two runners-up will win $5,000 and our Coach of the Year will be awarded $20,000 and will be entered as the Knicks representative in the Jr. NBA's National Coach of the Year Program.

Past winners have included, Denis Crowley (St. Christopher's), Jason Curry (Big Apple Basketball), Chiene Joy Jones (Grow Our Game), Clarence “Mugsy” Legget (Wiz Kids), Ken Stevens (Dyckman), Helen Settles (Youth of Staten Island & Staten Island Special Olympics), Mike Simmel (Bounce Out the Stigma Project), and Victor Hall (Keep Youth Dreams Alive).
